Tyvärr blev det teknisk fel med alla server som sköter Piratpartiet på nätet igår. Det mesta är igång och fungerar fint redan på kvällen.
Dock fungerar inte delen som sköter själva e-post, så den som är aktiv inom PP och har en adress där kan tyvärr inte komma igång.
Jag fick nyss reda på av Rick Falkvinge att han kommer få igång den nu i kväll. Förhoppningsvis skall det inte ställa till så mycket problem och det som skickats ändå kommer fram till partiadresserna, men säker kan man tyvärr aldrig vara.

Hollywood tries new ways of propaganda and lying as usually they normally doing. This time they try to make people think that the Pirate Party is not legal and the party work is criminal. They will monitor the Pirate Party and spy on the members and supporters!
I will not be surprise it they will start lobbing for the Pirate Party will be forbidden and members gone be put in prison.

Hollywood’s copyright enforcer

The Pirate Party in Sweden has plans to spread the anticopyright movement all over the world. Does it worry you that that some people see the issue of copyright as an attempt by Hollywood to suppress information and are painting piracy as a crusade?
Garfield: It is a concern. Part of our challenge is to view the Pirate Party, and those who support it, as a market competitor. We have to make sure that we, as an industry, are as attuned to the marketplace as they are. We have to be steadfast to respond to market wishes. We also shouldn’t close our eyes to it, and we will be responsive to it.

Do you think that the Pirate Party’s attempts to battle you guys at the ballot box is a legitimate way to work out these issues?
Garfield: There’s nothing about what the Pirate Bay does or what the Pirate Party does that is legitimate. There’s nothing philosophically principled about it. They steal copyright content and accept advertising dollars based on taking other people’s work. There’s nothing noble about it.

Svenska Piratpartiet uppmärksammas på andra sidan Atlanten. Både bland nedladdare och bland film- och skivbolag. Partiets frontman Rickard Falkvinge och hans senaste uttalanden skrämmer nu supermakten USA.

One of Sweden’s newest political parties, the Pirate Party, has inspired the creation of a new movement in the United States.

The American Pirate Party was launched over the weekend in the western state of Utah, although organisers require 2000 signatures by next February in order to be recognised as an official party, and be able to stand in the 2008 elections.

The Swedish Pirate Party, the first in the world, was founded in 2006 on a platform of reform for intellectual property and copyright laws.

Although American groups formed soon after the Swedish party’s creation, the Utah movement is the first to seek official recognition. They use the same logo as the Swedes - but in the red, white and blue of the Stars and Stripes.

I Danmark så vill deras justitieminister få möjlighet att bråkstakar skall spärras in utan domstolsbeslut efter de upprättas i ett register. Detta visa vilken farlig väg som folk även inom Europa och unionen vill gå, och hur lätt vissa vill tumma på det mest grundläggande vi har i demokrati med vi har domstolar som dömer. Inte nog med beslutsfattare runt om beslutar om lagar och tillämpningar som slår mot demokrati så vill vissa ta ett steg längre som gör det hela godtyckligt.
En annan sak som sker i Danmark är dess anti-piratbyrå har skickat ut krav på utdelade saker. Dels letar de upp folk på fildelningsnäten och ser vad dessa delar med sig, sedan tar de fram IP-nr och får fram användaruppgifterna varpå de sedan skickar räkning till vederbörande.

En annan intressant sak är att även inom Moderaterna har en av deras representanter i riksdagen, frågat vad fasingen hänt med löftena som gjordes innan valet med just fildelningsfrågan. Däremot är det tyst från regeringshållet, kan vara rätt besvärande bli påmind om vad man tyckte innan, eller påstod innan valet.
Av egen erfarenhet har jag sett och hört ett och annat konstigheter frÃ¥n aktiva inom fackföreningarna, Ã¥got har varit “vägra jobba med de som inte varit anslutna i facket” till “förstöra deras arbete”. Visst behöver man inte vara glad pÃ¥ nÃ¥gon icke-medlem men att regelrätt sabotera eller köra mobing med utfrysning för man int eär med i samma förening är förkassligt. Och tyvärr har vissa inställningar i dess still fortfarande fotfäste genom nÃ¥gon tycker att de som inte är anslutna i facket kan gott och väl svälta.
I maktborgen SSU så klara man inte av satir och skämt, genom dess ledning tvingade Peter Wahlbeck av scenen under hans uppträdande.

Antipirater verkar för att begränsa informationsfrihet och på så sett bygger dessa upp verktyg för egen kontroll av information. Det som inte passar in i deras världsbild eller andra åsikter går de in för få nedstänkt och som grädde på moset ser till att begränsa möjligheten ens ta till sig informationen. Dess verktyg är filter, samma filter som man har för hindra spridning av barnpornografi. De som sexuellt utnyttjar barn är, i min mening, riktiga äckel. Men de som i sin tur utnyttjar de utnyttjade barnen är lika sjuka och äckliga.

Danska Antipiratgruppens advokat Johan Schlüter liknade fildelning vid digerdöden. Att filerna knappast är okända loppor utan utbyts medvetet av folk och att de själva vill ”bli smittade” tycks inte ha slagit honom.
Han berättade stolt hur de i rätten lyckats tvinga operatörer att stänga ned kunders förbindelser, stänga ned servrar på dansk jord samt hindra danskar att komma åt material i utlandet.
– En dag kommer vi att ha ett jättefilter som vi utvecklar i nära samarbete med Ifpi och MPA. Vi följer hela tiden barnporren på nätet för att kunna visa politikerna att filtrering fungerar. Barnporr är ju en fråga de förstår, flinade Schlüter.
Han tyckte också att ”Journalists are the worst creatures in the world!” eftersom de inte bara okritiskt applåderar blockering av informationsflöden. Kanske var det därför pressen inte bjudits in till mötet.

När internetanvändaren besökte hemsidan kopimi.com möttes hon av polisens meddelande att sidan spärrats, eftersom den innehöll barnpornografi. I likhet med The Pirate Bay arbetar organisationen Piratbyrån, som står bakom Kopimi, bland annat med frågor som rör censur och yttrandefrihet, och har också varit kritisk till det svenska barnporrfiltret; inte minst på grund av risken för missbruk.

Groups representing intellectual property rights holders have called for stronger measures to protect their interests. Civil liberties groups, however, feel that the measures proposed by the Commission go too far in protecting the interests of rights-holders. They argue that the proposed Directive, which is similar to the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, will seriously harm consumers and small businesses, while benefiting large intellectual property rights holders. This is because technical protection measures can be attached to all digital content and circumvention in all cases is illegal - there are no exceptions.

Pirates of the European II: The Empire Strikes Back
In January this year, the Pirate Party (Piratpartiet) was formed, with an aim of competing in this September’s parliamentary elections. At first, it appeared it would be a small and obscure party that no one seriously would consider anything more than a student prank. The initial party program called for the complete abolition of all protection for patents and creative work, but the revised platform now calls for IP protection to last for a period of registration of 5 years.
The Pirate Party engaged in the public debate - quite vociferously - but gained little ground.
The police raid changed all that.

Idag har vi delat ut flygblad i central Malmö för PP. Bokstavlingen sprang personer efter oss och nästan tog en från oss - var mycket stort intresse av alla vi mötte.
